SEQUENTIAL DEATH - FABRIC CANVAS PAINTED WITH GOLD PAINT AND ENGRAVED
USING A CNC LASER MACHINE- 90 x 90 x 3 cm - 2020
The work consists of a fabric canvas painted with gold paint, and engraved using a CNC laser machine. The image that is formed from the laser engraving consists of a skull formed from binary numbers 0 and 1.
In the composition, the numbers ordered in a sequence form a coded message, the message is written in Chinese and consists of a questioning about death in our current times:
健康的社会不应只有一种声音
拒绝存在的本质，生活在二进制代码世界，是对死亡的一种证明，它始终存在于我们的心中
(A healthy society should not have just one voice. Rejecting the essence of existence and living in the world of binary code is proof of death, it always exists in our hearts).

Here the work of art is built entirely industrially, the artist idealizes drawing through the use of software and the machine performs the production. The intention here is to use binary programming as a means of conceptualizing the work itself.
This industrial production becomes a metaphor for our lives, for the same as the binary programming shapes our thoughts at some point it also can create works of art.
In this work, production can be done in series, binary numbers have the ability to transform everything into products, from human beings to art itself.
