IAPPLE – OIL ON SMARTPHONE AND WOODEN ORATORY

75 X 39 X 21 cm - 2019

In the realistic painting work, which brings the image of a bitten apple symbolizes the consummate human desire, in opposition the Apple cell phone brand, which also features the image of a bitten apple, (but in  stylized form), symbolizes the mass consumption.

When the two symbols of consumption unite into a single object, there is a sacralization of desire that is now massified, the light inside the wooden oratory celebrates the birth of this new collective desire.

Here the questioning about mass consumption, sacred through collective desire, is made through the use of technologies that represent the shadows at the back of contemporary caves.
